Future Skills (2014)
In 2014, Intergraf concluded the EU-funded project (under the European Commission’s Social Dialogue budget line): Future Skills in the Graphical Industry: Identifying & Promoting Best Practices in Europe. The Social Partners (Intergraf and UNI Europa Graphical) initiated this project in coordination with EGIN (the European Platform for Education, Training and Labour Market Projects for the Creative Industry).
The overall aim of the Future Skills project was to identify, describe and analyse current skills gaps, with a view to identifying future skills needs in the graphical sector. The project also aimed to identify a set of best practices for future education and training.
The project consisted of a questionnaire which was distributed in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish and received over 200 responses from companies and industry professionals across Europe. These replies were then compiled into a final report which contains recommendations that are reproducible regardless of country.
The final report contains an analysis of the data collected, as well as case studies from companies which reflect the stresses and strains in the market at company level. There is also a section on best practices in the industry.
You can download the report here in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
